Art and Religion

Art and Religion is a series published by Peeters Publishers (http://www.peeters-leuven.be/). The series welcomes monographs and themes in the interdisciplinary field between Christian iconography and religion. In the editorial board are Barbara Baert (Leuven), Reimund Bieringer (Leuven), Ralph Dekoninck (Louvain-la-Neuve), Victor Schmidt (Groningen) and Hedwig Schwall (Leuven).

Iconologies. Studies in the Making, Meaning and Migration of Images

In Iconologies the IRG publishes a selection from symposia and researchprojects. The first volume is based on the IRG symposium Iconology meets Anthropology held in march 2008 with contributions by Paul Vandenbroeck, Herman Roodenburg, Barbara Wittmann, Jeroen Stumpel and others.

Beeld en Betekenis (B&B)

Beeld en betekenis publishes the results of intensive masterclasses in Iconology. Beeld en Betekenis is the paper version in which specialists and teachers publish their discussions around a theme. B&B is the on line version (see also Education) in which students get the opportunity to share their papers on the web. We are now preparing an issue on the impact of Nicolas Cusanus on 15th century painting in the Low Countries, the results of masterclasses held at the Catholic University of Leuven in collaboration with Cusanus specialist Professor Inigo Bocken of the Radboud University of Nijmegen.
